KRIS WARNER NEW REPUBLICAN CHAIRMAN - Will Lead State's Party

(07/31/2002)
Morgantown resident, 40-year-old Kris Warner, was elected Chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party for the next four years. Warner had filled an unexpired term.

The businessman, known to local residents regarding an effort to bring telemarketing jobs to Calhoun, handily defeated South Charleston Mayor Richie Robb.

Robb has been credited with erasing a $14,000 debt owed by the party and efforts to place more Republicans on the ballot around West Virginia.
