HUNTINGTON MAN THREATENS OFFICER WITH SWORD - A man was arrested on several charges after police say he threatened to stab an officer with a sword.

Hosea Jones, 54, of Huntington was arrested after police were dispatched to a pharmacy in Huntington where the suspect allegedly threatened to kill an employee, according to a crimninal complaint.

The victim told police the suspect was banned from the business and that he said he had a sword concealed in a cane that he would use on her, according to the complaint.

While in custody, police said the suspect began yelling and cursing that he would stab the arresting police officer with a sword next time he saw him.

Jones is charged with assault, disorderly conduct, intimidation of and against public officers and intimidation of and against a witness.

MINGO HOME INVASIONS - The Mingo County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men wanted in a home invasion and theft.

Danny Colegrove Jr. and James Cecil Messer broke into a home in Marrowbone Creek and stole four guns.

Smith says after that, the suspects took the stolen guns and broke into a home on Laurel Creek where they bound three people with duct tape and held one of them at gunpoint, until the owner gave the two men the combination to a safe.

Jewelry, knives and medicine were stolen from the safe, with a value of nearly $4,300.

Smith says the men face 10 felony counts that include conspiracy, burglary, grand larceny, first-degree robbery and kidnapping.
