Nancy Anne Collins, 73 - Spencer

Nancy Anne Collins, 73, of Spencer WV died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

She was born November 14, 1939, at Irona, Preston County, a daughter of the late Frank and Valeria Bernatowicz Trackmovich.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raymond Collins; daughter, Michelle Wolfe; son, Jeffrey Collins.

Mrs. Collins was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Howesville. She was a woman with both wit and a sense of humor; you never knew exactly what she was going to say. Also, she was an avid reader and was seldom seen without a book in her hands. She was a friend to animals, especially cats.

Survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Suzanne Marshall and Rodger of Kingwood WV and Melanie Wilson and Roger Kelley of Spencer; son and spouse, Kevin Collins and Lisa Hershman of Bloomington IN; son, David Bohon of Texas; sister, Mary Faye Bohon of Amherst Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Heather, Angie, Nikki, Laura, Robby, Katie, Cassie, Shelby, Mandy, Jessie, Kevy, Clint, Alicia, Felicia and Jerus; 15 grandchildren and twin grandchildren expected soon. Also, she leaves behind her pet cat, "Big Foot"; special friend, Joy Webster; friends and neighbors in Lyn View Apartments.

In keeping with her giving nature, she has chosen to donate her body to the Human Gift Registry at WVU. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Friends may call at the funeral home 90 minutes before the service.

With her dedication to animals, donations in her name to a local animal shelter or humane society would be greatly appreciated.
