Ritchie Middle School opened fast and then let A. J. Collins do the rest as it posted an 86-20 victory over visiting Calhoun Tuesday night.

The Knights jumped to a 19-1 first quarter lead and never really looked back as it moved to 1-0 on the season.

Travis Pickering added 11 while Dylan Beall, Shane Davis and Shawn Spencerall had 10 as the Knights placed five players in double figures.

Jackson Taylor led Calhoun with 10 while Zach Yanero added four, Jerry Jones three and Trevor Carder and Chris Thornton two each. Christopher Kirkland, Ben Fredrick and Sonny Wilson all played but fif not score.

Ritchie won the B game 58-4.

Connor Ensminger led Ritchie with 13 while Joshua Brannon added 11 and Chase Sullivan 10.

Buck Marks and Carder scored two each for the Red Devils while Brent Anderson, Brady Fox, Levi Gregory, Damon Westfall, Dillion Anderson, Aaron West, Jevon Hall, Nolan Nelson, Jakiah Hickman, John Watkins, Ryan Million and Josh Schoolcraft all played but did not score.

Calhoun returns to action Thursday night at Wirt County.
