DRY NOVEMBER IN MID-OHIO VALLEY - Approaching 1904 Record

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service said areas around West Virginia had some of the driest November precipitation on record.

Much of America is experiencing drought conditions.

Normally about 3 to 4 inches of precipitation is measured every November, according to the NWS.

It was dry in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

About 0.44 inches of precipitation came down in Parkersburg, making this the second-driest November since it was measured at 0.11 in 1904.

Only about 0.7 inches of rain was measured in Beckley this November, the driest since 2001 when only 0.6 inches fell down there.

It was also the third-driest November in Huntington with only 0.62 inches of rain. The driest was in 2001 when 0.10 inches fell.
