Donald Lee Rhodes, 81, of Creston WV passed away Nov. 23, 2012 at Camden Clark Memorial Campus. He was born in Reedy WV the son of the late Toney and Rebecca (Summerville) Rhodes. He served in the United States Army, loved hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Mia Rhodes; 2 daughters Debbie of Michigan and Sue Ann Rhodes of Creston; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers Denny (Christine) Rhodes of Reedy and Kenny (Chani) Rhodes of Elizabeth WV; 2 sisters Wilma Wilson of Ripley WV and Neamia Bracken of Alliance Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Annie Carpenter Rhodes; 6 brothers Wayne, Jimmy, Jackie, Tony, Bobby and Burnden Rhodes. Services will be Tuesday Nov. 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Matheny-Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with Ira (Jim) Lynch officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday Nov. 27 from 5 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery of Elizabeth WV.
