| A Smithville, Ritchie County man died of a heart attack while hunting Monday, the first day of buck gun season.
Joe Clayton, 73, of Smithville collapsed and died around 6:30 p.m. while hunting near Hazelgreen Road, according to Hoy Murphy, Public Information Office WV-DNR.
Clayton is the first fatality during buck gun season, which will continue through December 1. |
