WVDNR says this could be a big buck deer season. The state's firearm season begins Monday for two weeks, with an estimated 330,000 hunters taking to the Mountain State woods. Deer check-in stations in Calhoun County: - Cha-Tis, Grantsville 6 a.m.-11 p.m. (open Thanksgiving Day) - Speedy Mart, Arnoldsburg, 24/7 (Open Thanksgiving Day) - Pit Stop, 6 a.m.-10 p.m. (Open Thanksgiving Day) - Momma T's, Pleasant Hill, regular hours 6 a.m.-10 p.m. (Open Thanksgiving Day 2-8 p.m.) - Chloe Auto and Hardware, Chloe, regular hours (Closed Thanksgiving Day) - Holberts Store, Big Bend, regular hours 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Open Thanksgiving Day)
