GARY CHARLES GRIFFIN - Big Bend

Gary Charles Griffin, 51, of Big Bend, Calhoun County, WV, died July 23 in Grantsville following a sudden illness. Born in New Jersey, he was a US Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War and was employed by Holberts Store of Big Bend. Surviving are his mother, Ethel Mae Richards Griffin of Big Bend, his father, Robert O. Griffin of Pennsylvania; son, Steven C. Griffin of South Carolina; daughter, Lora Mae Griffin of Clendenin, WV; five brothers, Robert James Griffin of Perthamboy, NJ, George and Peter Griffin both of Grantsville, WV, Roger D. Griffin of Oak Harbor, Ohio and Roland Griffin of Tom's River, NJ; three sisters, Dorothy Ellen Griffin of Perthamboy, NJ, Katherine Bargas of Sayreville, NJ and Shirley Mae Richards of Grantsville and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Jean Griffin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July, 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Hunt Cemetery at Big Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
