FIREFIGHTERS TACKLING LARGE CLAY COUNTY BRUSH FIRE - Gusting Winds Not Helping

Firefighters in Clay County continue to battle a massive brush fire Monday they believe was set intentionally over the weekend.

Gusting winds are not helping Monday.

The fire started sometime Sunday in the Leatherwood area, according to Chief Michael Morton with the Lizemore Volunteer Fire Department.

Fire crews battled the burning brush for hours Sunday, containing fire that threatened nearby homes, but residents have not been tolf to evacuate.
