THOMAS H. "TOM" COLLINS - Arnoldsburg

Thomas H. "Tom" Collins, 66 of Arnoldsburg< WV departed this life on July 24, 2002, at Camden Clark memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV following a battle with metastatic ocular melanoma.

He was born in Logan County, WV on November 22, 1935. He was retired from Local Union # 798 and worked as a welder on the pipeline. He owned, rode and showed Tennessee Walking Horses.

He is survived by one daughter, Jackie Collins-Frail and her husband and her husband John Frail of Richmond Virginia; a half sister, Sue Ann Steele and a half brother, Bill Dillon both of Arnoldsburg; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by by his mother, Emma Chafin Dillon and maternal grandparents Tom and Lue Chafin.

Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg on Saturday, July 27, 2002 at 3 p.m. Reverend Roger Carter and reverend Cleston Garrett will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home, Friday, July 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.. He will be laid to rest in the Sand Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of elaborate floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be made to Jackie Collins-Frail and would be greatly appreciated. Jackie will make one donation in Tom's name to benefit melanoma research or to facilitate United states FDA approval of Fotemustine.
