Marguerite Wade, 95 - Medina, Ohio

Marguerite Wade (nee Pickens), 95, of Medina, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. She was born in Gilmer County August 23, 1917, the daughter of Lafayette Lee and Effie (Norris) Pickens.

She was a long time member of Glenville First Baptist Church and served as Treasurer of Job's Temple Association for many years.

Marguerite served as Maintenance Secretary for the Berea City Schools for 16 years. Upon retirement she and her husband, Glen Wade returned to Glenville where she lived until 2008 when she moved to Medina, Ohio with her daughter Peggy.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Oaklief of Medina, Ohio, Linda Braffitt of Manchester, NH, and son-in-law Ed Wetzel of Smithsburg, MD; seven grandchildren, Mark Oaklief (Maureen), Kim Sweeney (B.J.), Sheri Hogue (Bob), Becky Snyder (Terry), Bill Wetzel, R.J. Braffitt (Leigha), and Nathan Braffitt. She was also a loving great grandmother of 11.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband Glen Wade, her daughter Carolyn Wetzel (Ed) and her son Bill Wade.

A memorial service will be held November 10, 2012 at the Glenville First Baptist Church, Glenville, WV. Visitation at 12 p.m. Service at 1 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Glenville First Baptist Church or Job's Temple Association.
