MINNIE HAMILTON HAS NEW EMS DIRECTOR

Minnie Hamilton Health System welcomes Brett Wellman, RN as EMS Director starting October 15, 2012. Brett attended LPN School at the Cabell County Vo-Tech Center, became a Paramedic in 1996, RN in 1999 from Marshall University and is currently a Nurse Practitioner student at Ohio University scheduled to graduate in 2014. He started his career as an EMT then Paramedic, for Kenova Fire Department. In 1998 he became Cabell County EMS Training Coordinator, worked at Cabell Huntington Hospital from 1997 until 2002 and Health Net from 2002 until October 2012 as a Flight Nurse. Brett and his wife Emily have a son and a daughter, ages 11 and 8 with a son on the way in December. "I believe in the mission of Minnie Hamilton Health System and hope to be able to work with everyone for the good of the community," says Brett.
