RALEIGH MURDER - A Raleigh County homeowner is dead after a shooting in Sprague. When police arrived at the residence, they discovered Danny Kennedy, 54, had been shot and transported him to the hospital where he later died.

Police learned that three men had left a neighbors house and attempted to turn around in Kennedy's driveway.

The men got stuck in his yard and Kennedy proceeded to come out of his house and get into a heated argument with the men.

Kennedy went back into his home for a short period of time, but then came back outside again and continued to argue, Kennedy was shot by one of the men.

All three men fled the scene on foot but police caught up with Dominic Paige, 22, of Beckley and took him into custody. Page has been charged with murder.

Police are looking for Antonio Wade and another juvenile, both from the Beckley area, in connection with the murder.

PRESTON MAN ARRESTED FOR MURDER - A Preston County man was arrested Sunday morning for apparently shooting and killing a Maryland man.

Police say the incident started Saturday around 6:30 p.m. in the Hazelton area.

Justin Michael Fontaine, 28, of Hazelton, WV, shot and killed Jerame Sines, 33, of Friendsville, MD, with a shot gun at Fontaine's home.

Fontaine is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on first degree murder charges.

MAN CHARGED WITH FELONY POSSESSION - The Grafton Police Department arrested a man on two charges of felony possession of guns.

Arrested is Franklin Moore, 42, after authorities pulled him over for possibly driving under the influence.

Police discovered a loaded 40 caliber gun on the passenger seat of the car, and a shot gun in the back seat.

They determined that both guns were stolen by Moore.

Moore also has felony charges in West Virginia and Virginia for failing to appear for previous court dates.

He is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

MON COUNTY HOLD-UPS - Morgantown police are investigating a hold-up at a Dairy Mart.

They are also investigating an armed robbery that happened an adult store, the Mid-Nite Adult Store.

Police said the suspects had a hand gun.

CHARLESTON FIREFIGHT ARRESTED AT GUNPOINT - The chief of police of Winfield said that he arrested a Charleston firefighter and charged him with driving while intoxicated.

Officers arrested Grant Kelly Gunnoe Jr., 39, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and obstructing an officer.

In a news release, police first noticed a Bronco traveling at a high rate of speed south bound in Winfield Saturday evening. Officers tried several times to get the vehicle to pull over. Eventually, officers boxed in the vehicle in the vehicle nearly 3 miles from the point where the pursuit began.

Once stopped, police instructed the driver several times to get out of his vehicle. Perrine said officers had to physically remove Gunnoe "at gunpoint."

In the news release, Perrine also said, "The driver was incoherent, had a lack of motor skill and fell back to the road way."

Perrine "asked police for leniency because he is a Charleston fireman."

Gunnoe's blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.
