Pauline M. Lawson, 70 - Spencer

Pauline M. Lawson, 70, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at home.

She was born February 23, 1942 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Milford and Pauline Miller. She formerly worked at the Spencer State Hospital and Roane County Committee on Aging and attended the Gandee Chapel Church.

She is survived by four children, Virgil "Jiggs" Lawson, Jr. of Ripley, West Virginia and David, Randy and Emmee Lawson, all of Spencer; four sisters, Phyllis Milhoan of Reedy, West Virginia, Melinda Jones of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, Myrtle Sue McKown of Spencer, and Debrah Marks of Millstone, West Virginia; a half-sister, Ruth Starcher of Calhoun County; six brothers, Phil, Bob, Bill, Larry, and Tom Miller, all of Spencer and Curtis Miller of Reedy; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Lawson; five sisters, Madeline Fouty, Shirley Ann Starcher, Mildred Ash, and Jennifer and Janice Miller; and two brothers, Jack and Milford Miller Jr.

Service will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Craig Hill Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting hours are Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
