CHAPLAIN'S ASSOCIATION CONTINUES DRIVE FOR FOOD PANTRY

(11/13/2012)
The Minnie Hamilton Chaplains Association will host their annual Food Pantry Services in an effort to garner support for this ever-growing ministry.

The pantry, housed in the First Baptist Church of Grantsville, is a regional food bank that provides assistance to almost 400 people a month.

Supported solely by donations, the Food Pantry receives donations from more than 20 churches, all of our local schools, several businesses, scores of individuals, and food drives such as this one.

The Hur Herald will be launching a fund drive for the pantry.

People needing assistance simply call the Food Pantry's sole proprietor, Billy "Pete" Trippett at 304-354-7966.

Mr. Trippett fequently makes a dozen trips a day from his home to the church to issue food.

The 82-year-old volunteer calls it "a labor of love" and prays that "there will always be someone willing to help those in need".

The Minnie Hamilton Chaplains Association say it a privilege to be part of this outreach.

There are two remaining services this year:

Tue. Nov. 13 - Cornerstone Church, message by Shelly Mace
Wed. Nov. 14 - First Baptist Church, message by Dave Trippett

All services begin at 7:00 pm.

The Chaplain's Association says, "Everyone is encouraged to come out and support this ministry. The people we help are probably people you know."
