| Bernard L. Jarvis, 77, of Chloe, West Virginia, passed away October 23, 2012, at Roane General Hospital.
He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Cecil and Nell Arnold Jarvis.
He was a carpenter and U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Schlit of Arizona; sons, Bernard Jarvis Jr. of Arizona, Jeffrey Jarvis of Chloe and stepson Dale Brown of California; grandchildren, Michael Jarvis of Chloe and Justen Gregory of New Martinsville WV as well as several others; sisters, Betty Smith of Mesa AZ, Hope Schoolcraft of Orma WV, Jean Holmes of Mesa, AZ, Helen Wayne of Elizabeth WV, Alice Conley of Cayce SC, Connie Rucker of Cottageville WV and Donnie King of Ripley WV; one brother, Don Jarvis of Arizona.
He is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by sisters, Nelma Stump and Bernice Cornn and baby Katherine.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3 at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg WV with Rev. Tim Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Minnora Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Saturday. |
