FIRST SNOW HITS COUNTY - Compliments Hurricane Sandy, 264 Power Outages

1:00 PM TUESDAY - After three days of rain drizzle, the first snow came to Calhoun Monday night, compliments of Hurricane Sandy, with up to four inches in some parts of the county.

The very heavy snow has weighted tree limbs to the ground, and has caused some power outages in the county.

Heavy, wet snow causing problems

While electric is flickering on and off, First Energy is reporting 264 outages in the county, likely in the Minnora, Beech area.

Calhoun's 911 reported virtually no activity since Monday afternoon.

Calhoun Schools remained open.
