Michael Ray Carpenter, 53, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away October 3, 2012 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born in Parkersburg WV, a son of Eleanor Carpenter. He worked for 23 years in the oil fields. He was a loving father and husband, loving his family and friends. He is survived in addition to his mother, by his wife, Lesa Goodrich Carpenter; daughters, Felisha Carpenter, Tonya Carpenter and Jamie Cooper; son-in-law, Cody Hickman; brother, Steve Wood; grandparents, Mally and Ica Carpenter; special friends, Nick Hickman, Brenda Cottrell, Richie and Tammy Taylor and Jeannie Boothe. He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wood. Private family services to be held at later date. Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.
