Rebecca Ann Smith, 59 - Looneyville

Rebecca Ann Smith, 59, of Looneyville, West Virginia departed this life on October 27, 2012 at the St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia.

She was born December 9, 1952 in Elana, West Virginia a daughter of the late Orville L. and Ina Ellen Duffield Smith. She worked at Kellwood Company, was a homemaker and enjoyed feeding birds and flower gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Debbie R. Strickland of Looneyville; two granddaughters, Kayla and Sierra Strickland; two sisters, Helen Snyder of Spencer and Elaine Ferrell of Gandeeville, West Virginia; and two brothers, Charles Smith of Marietta, Ohio and Lewis Smith of Looneyville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Mclaughlin; and two brothers, Dayton and an infant, Homer Arnold Smith.

Per her request, the body was cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Clover Cemetery with Rev. James Epling officiating.

TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements for the Smith family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, 206 Beauty Street, Spencer WV 25276.
