Glenville, WV - The West Virginia Public Broadcasting System has agreed to air a documentary about 'The West Virginia Veterans' Legacy Project' (WVVLP).

'The West Virginia Veterans' Legacy Project' was established by Glenville State College in 2011 to collect, preserve, and broadcast stories of West Virginia war veterans who served in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, and the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The hour-long documentary 'A Tradition of Service' features significant veteran interviews and photos along with the process that GSC used in developing the WVVLP. The documentary was produced by Robert Tinnnell of Allegheny Image Factory.

WV PBS will air 'A Tradition of Service' on Friday, November 9th at 9:00 p.m. and again on Veterans Day Sunday, November 11th at 7:00 p.m. Check your local TV listings for the WV PBS channel in your area.

"We are thrilled that West Virginia Public Broadcasting will be showing this powerful and moving documentary that should make us all proud of our West Virginia Veterans," said Dr. Bob Henry Baber, GSC Major Gifts Officer and West Virginia Veterans Legacy Project Director.

'A Tradition of Service' will make its debut on Saturday, November 3rd at 5:00 p.m. in the Presidents Auditorium in the GSC Hefflin Administration Building. Film maker Robert Tinnnell of Allegheny Image Factory will be attending the premiere. The presentation is free and open to the public.
