UPDATE: DESKINS HELD ON FORGERY/UTTERING CHARGES AT GRANTSVILLE STORE

Christopher Lee Deskins, 43, is being held in Central Regional Jail on forgery and uttering charges that occurred at the J & B Drug Store in Grantsville. Deskins is being held on $10,000 bond, and is also facing similar charges in Marion County. Grantsville Police Chief Andy Walker, in the complaint, says Deskins passed the check belonging to an elderly Orient, Ohio man. The check was for prescription medication. The man told police the check book had been stolen, and he did not give Deskins permission to sign the check, according to the complaint.
