(10/15/2012)
MACHETE ATTACK - Morgantown Police are investigating a malicious wounding at 4:30 a.m. that sent one man to the hospital.

Police say a man was walking, when two other men confronted him. One of those men struck the man several times with a machete. He was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by a friend and was released.

Police said the two men they're looking for were both wearing gold WVU hoodies.

MAN THREATENING TO SHOOT POLICE - A Salem man's family called police and told them to be on the look out for a man, who was supposedly driving around with a shot gun, looking to either shoot a law enforcement officer or be shot by one.

The man was arrested early Sunday morning, but thankfully no one was hurt.

Deputies said they stopped Richard Lee Counts at the interchange of I-79 and Route 50 as he was apparently driving back to Salem. Police said they did find a shot gun in the vehicle.

Counts is charged with petit larceny, theft of a vehicle, and driving without a license.
