Class A eighth-ranked St. Marys beat Calhoun 72-0 Friday night in the Blue Devils homecoming game.

All the scoring took place in the first half.

The second half was shortened to 10-minute quarters.

Noah Spitzer had three touchdowns for St. Marys, 5-1. Derek Barnhart had two while David Gray, Jeremy Pritt, Colby Brode, Jarod Bills, Jacob Cox and Brett Fetty added one apiece.

Spitzer led St. Marys with 50 yards rushing while Bills and Andrew Cosper added 48 each.

Calhoun was led by Casey Ritchie with 60 yards rushing.

Calhoun, 2-4, will try to get back on the winning path Friday night when it plays host to Buffalo, 5-1, in Senior Night at Mount Zion.
