FIRE VICTIMS NEED A LITTLE HELP - McCune Family Loses Everything

(07/19/2002)
Jimmy and Christina McCune lost their home and all the contents Wednesday evening. The house, located along Route 16 at Orma, caught fire while Ms. McCune was feeding her horses.

"My folks have allowed us to stay with them for a while," said Mrs. McCune. "Folks have asked if we need help."

The McCune's have two small sons, ages four and two, and they are in need of clothes, she said.

"We don't have anyplace to store furniture or household items, right now," but indicted they might need some help with those things later.

Mrs. McCune said her husband has to work away in another state, which makes things difficult.

Clothes or cash can be sent to Jimmy and Christina McCune, HC73, Box 59, Orma WV 25268. For information, you can call Ms. McCune at 304-655-7110.

"We really want to express our appreciation to the Upper West Fork Volunteer Fire Department and the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department for their efforts," she concluded.
