The 'Take Back" drug day held over the weekend in Grantsville was a big success.

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) was very pleased with 500 different prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs with a weight of 45 pounds collected at the third Take Back Day in Calhoun County.

The Calhoun Substance Abuse Coalition would like to thank everyone who made 'Take Back' day such a success.

Special thanks to Sheriff Allen Parsons for his assistance in continuing a Take Back program in Calhoun County and his help during the event.

Also, thanks to the Calhoun County Committee on Aging for use of their facility; J&B Drug Store and Rite Aid Drug Store for distributing inserts in prescription bags about the Take Back program; Calhoun County Schools for distribution of flyers; Calhoun Chronicle and Hur Herald for their promotion and coverage of the event; businesses for displaying posters of the event; and all of the individuals who participated in the Take Back day.
