Lt. Harold A. Lee, 85 - Spencer

Lt. Harold A. Lee, 85, of Spencer, West Virginia formerly of Clay, West Virginia died September 24, 2012 at the Miletree Center in Spencer after an extended illness.

"Big Lee" was born December 8, 1926 in Kanawha County, West Virginia a son of the late Robert E. and Grace Young Lee. He was a retired West Virginia State Policeman having served from 1954 to 1981. He was a Navy veteran of World War Two and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Spencer. He enjoyed hunting, collecting antiques and stamps and loved flying and taking flight lessons.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Puckett Lee, who was originally from Logan, West Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Nita Lee of Spencer; one sister, Jean Wise of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia; and four grandchildren, James Lee and his wife, Amanda, and Kimberly, Tyler and Taylor Lee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Russell Addison Lee; and a sister, Lorraine Pleasants.

Service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Revs. Doug Sandy and Mike King officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill, West Virginia. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
