MOVIE BEING SHOT USING RITCHIE CO. LANDSCAPE

(09/25/2012)
Newfoundland Films spent the weekend filming a variety of scenes in Ritchie County for "Hollow Creek" a movie expected to debut in theaters in Fall 2013.

Some Hollywood names are anticipated to fill major roles in the movie, but some individuals in Ritchie County helped out on set, including the Cairo Volunteer Fire Department.

"They asked us to make rain. We're using our fire truck and fire hoses to help make the rain," said Fire Chief Darrel Rowley of the Cairo Volunteer Fire Department.

Some local talent from the Little Kanawha area will actually be in the movie.
