Harold B. Cottrell, 88 - Spencer

Harold B. Cottrell, 88, of Spencer, died at 10:38 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2012, in the Miletree Center, Spencer. He was born February 3, 1924, in Calhoun County, a son of the late Benjamin and Rosa Sharp Cottrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose; sisters, Donna, Vera, Eva, Pauline, Hallie, Esta and Audrey; a brother, Walter. Mr. Cottrell was a retired employee of the Elgin Watch Company, New York and an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include a granddaughter, nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 24 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service.
