Beulah C. Burden, 88 passed away Friday, July 12, 2002, at Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center, Grantsville, West Virginia.

She was born November 29, 1913, the daughter of the late Allen B. and Icie Duvall Starcher.

Surviving is one daughter Paula M. Roberts, of Grantsville; seven grandchildren, Roscoe D. Gainer of Sand Ridge, WV, Jane Collins of Tanner, WV, Stephen D. Gainer of Boston Massachusetts, John Carpenter of Lodi, Ohio, Jan Wallace of Lodi, Linda Gerwig of Medina, Ohio, Randy McCoy of Brunswick Ohio and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Justine Miller of Spencer, WV and Nina Boatright of Norton, Ohio; three brothers, Richard Starcher of of Concord, North Carolina, Denver Starcher of Middlebourne, WV and Delbert Starcher of Barberton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Holly McCoy, James Woodrow Carpenter and Hays Arnold Burden; three sons, Floyd Jackson Carpenter, James Woodrow Carpenter II, Holly Ray McCoy and a grandson, James Woodrow Carpenter III; brothers, Vere, Allen, Victor and Melvin; sisters, Pauline Starcher and Opal Nitz.

She was a member of the Medina Baptist Temple of Medina, Ohio.

Services were held at Parker Funeral Home of Lodi, Ohio, Tuesday July 16, 2002. Burial was in the Lodi Cemetery, Lodi.
