TENNANT SAYS MISSED DEADLINE OK - Constitutional Amendment Allowing Sheriffs More Than Two Terms

(09/18/2012)
A constitutional amendment on the General Election ballot to repeal WV sheriffs from having only two consecutive terms, is still in tact for voting this fall.

Secretary of State Natalie Tennant said a missed deadline for reminding voters about the proposed amendment is ok, citing court decisions.

She doesn't believe the missed deadline will prevent the issue from being decided legally.
