Ruth Ann Beckett Rhodes, 58 - Spencer

Ruth Ann Beckett Rhodes, 58, of Spencer WV, died Thursday, September 13, 2012, in the Cedar Ridge Center, Sissonville.

She was born January 4, 1954, in Clay County, a daughter of the late Elbert Beckett and the late Lizzy Nutter Beckett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rhodes; a brother, Virgil Beckett; and a sister, Kay Nicholas.

She was a Baptist. Ruth enjoyed reading her Bible and doing arts and crafts. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include two sons, Floyd Jack Keener and Okey Lee Colegrove both of Parkersburg WV; stepmother, Janice Beckett of Spencer; brothers, Danny of Orma WV, Gilbert of Spencer, Elbert, Jr. of Wellston OH and Okey E. Colegrove of Wallback WV; sisters, Margaret Rush of Arnoldsburg WV, Evelyn Beckett of Orma, Barbara Taylor of Mt. Airy NC, Elsie Bailey and Linda Green both of Spencer, Lucy Truman of Maysel WV, Mary Jenkins of Lewisburg WV, Ivy O'Neal of Chloe WV and Janet Snyder of California; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Roy Huffman officiating. Burial will be in the Moore Cemetery, Wallback. Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
