VIETNAM WAR HAS ENDED FOR RICK MC CARTNEY

(09/15/2012)
Family members said, "The Vietnam War finally ended for Richard H. McCartney," his life over as a result of exposure to Agent Orange.

McCartney, 65, of the Pine Creek Community, Grantsville, died Sept. 14, at his home after an extended illness.

He donated his body to the WVU Gift Registry for scientific research.

Rick was a United States Army veteran, having proudly served in the Vietnam War and was a retired professional surveyor for Trumbull Corporation.

He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, a member of the Eureka Lodge #40 AF & AM and was always eager to help his neighbors and volunteer at the Molasses Festival.

Friends and family are invited to attend the celebration of his life at the memorial service to be held Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at the Victory Baptist Church at Grantsville beginning at noon.
