MOLASSES FESTIVAL KING AND QUEEN CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED

Twelve boys and 12 girls will compete in the 45th Annual West Virginia Molasses Festival King and Queen contest, set for September 27-29 at Arnoldsburg.

Contestants are all students at Arnoldsburg Elementary school and are chosen on a penny-a- vote basis. All money collected goes to the Arnoldsburg PTO to provide classroom supplies, trips and extra activities for the students of Arnoldsburg Elementary.

The 2012 crowning ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 27th at the West Fork Community Action Park in Arnoldsburg.

King candidates are: Jackson Clawson, Ayden Johnston, Noah Butler, Bryant Fulks, Trenton Nelson, Tyler Nelson, Caden Wright, Dylan Bass, Drue Goad, Hunter Schoolcraft, Austin Badgett and Levi Allen.

Queen candidates are: Maddison McCumbers, Addison McCumbers, Eliza Miller, Cyrena Wilson, Jayden Knicley, Mackenzie Bailey, Brooklyn Swisher, Destiny Tanner, Josie Montgomery, Kaitlyn Marks, Nicole Wolf and Breanna Bowers.
