The Lady Red Devils opened the season Thursday (8/30) on the road at Clay with a 3-1 loss by scores of 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, and 20-25.

Amanda Carter led the team in service points with 15 points, 5 aces; followed by Stephanie Hall with 10 points, 2 aces; Brooke Manns 8 pts, 2 aces; Abby Rexroad 7 pts, 2 aces; Kenzie Hicks 3 pts, 1 ace; Autumn Blair 2 pts, 2 aces; Kayla Lamb 2 pts.

Hitting: Hicks 17/19, 7 kills; Hall 15/19, 1 kill; Carter 9/10, 4 kills; Blair 10/14, 2 kills; Bailie Cain 3/5, 1 kill; Manns 5/6, 2 kills; Rexroad 2/3. Setting: Blair 35/38, 8 assists; Hall 15/16, 4 assists; Rexroad 21/26, 3 assists; Savannah Rogers 3/4. Digs: Manns 10, Hicks 4. Blocks: Cain 4, Hall 3, Hicks 2.

The JV dropped both sets 25-3, 25-20. Savannah Rogers led the team in service points with 6 points, 1 ace; followed by Kayla Lamb 4 pts, 1 ace; and Abby Rexroad 4 pts, 1 ace.

The Varsity travels to Roane County for a quad on Tuesday and both teams are in action Thursday when Calhoun hosts Braxton.
