FURR SENTENCED TO PRISON IN DRUG CASE - Calhoun Circuit Court Cases

Calhoun Circuit Court processed several cases this week before Judge David Nibert.

The case against Robert Taylor, Jr. of Clay, one count of sexual assault in 1st degree, has been continued to October 23 for further proceedings.

Glenville resident Timothy Furr was sentenced one to four years in prison to run concurrently with sentencing in Gilmer County, related to drug charges.

The court accepted a "plea to information" in a case against Michael Williamson.

A murder case against William "Seth" Denmark is set for a judge's decision regarding a plea bargain reached by Calhoun Prosecutor Rocky Holmes and Denmark's attorney Barbara Schamberger on October 23.

A meth lab case against Jerry McKown, Jr. has a pre-trial set for October 23 and a trial scheduled for December 4.

A case against Andrew Johnson was sent back to magistrate court. Paul Goodrich III will be sentenced in a meth lab/drug case on October 23.
