GLENVILLE STATE WILL NOT CLOSE - GSC Supporters Fear "Devious Agenda"

(07/16/2002)
Glenville State College is not being closed, according to Education Chairman Lloyd Jackson, D-Lincoln. Glenville administrators have expressed concern about the college's future because it is frequently being studied.

Higher education Chancellor Michael Mullen said he had been ordered to make at least 19 studies of West Virginia colleges.

A large group of Glenville supporters packed a meeting room expressing concerns "a more devious agenda" was behind several studies, according to Mullen.
