John W. Jones, 71 - Big Bend

John W. Jones, 71, of Big Bend, WV passed away August 24, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born on May 1, 1941 in Vadis, Lewis County, the son of the late Walter and Euleta Jones. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, John W. Jones, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Joan Jones; and two sons Thomas R. Jones of Big Bend and Daniel Jones of Jefferson OH; two stepsons, Vernon Walker of Munday and Michael Walker of Hillsboro. Also surviving are four brothers, Bill Jones of Grantsville, Paul Jones of Davisville, Daniel Jones of Big Bend, Donzel Jones of Big Bend, and Walter Jones, Jr. of Big Bend; six sisters, Sharon Stull of Massillon OH, Mary Bower of Creston, Judy Westfall of Grantsville, Charlotte Robinson of Parkersburg, Debbie Goodwin of Jane Lew, and Kathryn Harris of Grantsville; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:00pm at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Barry Skaggs will officiate. Interment will be in the Maze Cemetery at Munday. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00pm-2:00pm Monday until the time of the services.
