| Leonard Paxton, 59, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, in the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after a short illness.
He was born October 10, 1952, in Pineville WV, a son of the late Otmer and Ulva Harper Paxton.
Leonard was an employee of the Roane County Board of Education.
Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Work of Vermillion SD; a sister, Reva Paxton of Spencer; and a brother, Carl Paxton of Rome GA.
Friends may call Sunday, Aug. 26 from 2-6 p.m. at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Paxton Cemetery, Walton.
