Ernest Cloyd Cowger, 44, of Newton, West Virginia, died at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012, in the CAMC-Memorial Hospital, Charleston. He enjoyed spending time visiting and helping his neighbors. Survivors include his wife, Tracy Lyn Carte Cowger of Newton; children, Ernest Cowger, II, Elizabeth Cowger and Maria Cowger all of Newton; two grandchildren, Jayden and Braylynn; father, Ernest Cloyd Deems of Newton; sisters, Benita Petty, Tilda Thomas and Jackie Partridge all of Ohio, Tammi Partridge of Kansas; stepfather, Robert Mauger of Barberton, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Mae Mauger. Friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Monday at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. There will be no service.
