GILMER MOVING TOWARD COUNTY 911 COMMUNICATIONS CENTER

Gilmer County is joining Clay County in establishing their own 911 communications and dispatch center. The Gilmer County Commission is reportedly moving toward borrowing money to build and equip the center. Gilmer's 911 calls have been dispatched from the Lewis County center for a number of years. Clay County's communication center will be pulled from Fayette County.
