SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGES DROPPED AGAINST PECK - Juvenile Says Charges Unfounded

A Russett Road man was wrongfully accused of sexual abuse by a parent, according to a decision rendered in Calhoun County Magistrate Court. Criminal charges were filed against Jonathan Peck, 36, after a statement was made to State Police and Children's Protective Services regarding the abuse. The charges were dismissed "without prejudice" against Peck. The juvenile female admitted to the court she made up the accusations after being disciplined by Peck. "This has been a trying time for our family over the false accusations" said a family member.
