Cara Leah Hicks Franck, 40 - Spencer

Cara Leah Hicks Franck, 40, of Spencer, died at 2:25 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2012, in the CAMC-Memorial Hospital, Charleston, after a short illness. She was born October 10, 1971, in Spencer, the daughter of John C. and Christie L. Nicoles Hicks of Spencer. Cara was a medical transcriptionist. She enjoyed painting, reading, cooking and facebook. She was a 1989 graduate of Spencer High School. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Corey (Michele Chapman) Hicks of Raleigh, NC; maternal aunt, Deborah Nicoles of Spencer; and several paternal aunts. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hershal and Lorene Nicoles; paternal grandparents, Bryan and Mary Alice Hicks. A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Harold Lanham officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
