WOMAN POSING AS BOY FOR SEXUAL ENCOUNTER WILL GO TO TRIAL

(08/14/2012)
The trial of a Massachusetts woman accused of posing as a 17-year-old boy to prey on a Gilmer County girl is set for Nov. 16 in Clarksburg.

Prosecutors had asked U.S. District Judge Irene Keeley to postpone the trial after the social networking site MySpace failed to respond to multiple search warrants that could produce evidence.

Carissa Hads, 25, of Quincy has pleaded not guilty on one count of traveling in interstate commerce to engage in illegal sexual conduct.

Investigators say Hads visited the teen at least three times and had a sexual encounter with her in February. 2012.
