MAN STABS FATHER - Raleigh County authorities are investigating what caused a man to allegedly stab his father during an altercation.

Robert Call, 45, and Robert Call Jr., 23, got into a dispute on Irish Mountain Road, and the younger Call allegedly stabbed his father at least once during a fight reportedly fueled by alcohol, according to the sheriff's office.

The elder Call was flown to CAMC General Hospital.

YOUTH CRITICALLY WOUNDED WITH PELLET GUN - Boone County sheriff's deputies say a 7-year-old boy received a life-threatening wound from a pellet in Seth.

He is in critical condition in a Charleston hospital.

Police say he apparently was accidentally shot by a juvenile relative at a residence.

A deputy said the air guns can fire a small projectile with more speed than some pistol bullets.
