CHASED MAN ENTERS LETHERBARK HOUSE IN FEAR OF HIS LIFE

State Police responded to a 911 call from Letherbark about 4:30 p.m. Friday after a man ran into a house and told the homeowner that a man was going to shoot and kill him.

The man was identified by sources at the scene as Josh Boswell, 21, saying he was being pursued by Fred Starcher, who has been a resident of the Orma-Minnora area.

Starcher was reportedly chasing Boswell on foot on US 33-119, when Boswell jumped a yard gate and entered the residence of Barbara Wilson, who was tending her three-year-old son.

Sources at the scene said Starcher was accusing Boswell of stealing $5,000 from him.

State Police cruisers from Spencer and Grantsville arrived on the scene and rounded up individuals involved in the affray.

It was unclear if weapons were involved in the incident.

Some of the individuals chasing Boswell were reportedly in vehicles on the highway.

Starcher, after reportedly chasing Boswell on foot, told police he was having chest pain and was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System by Calhoun EMS.

Police are continuing the investigation, charges are yet to be brought.
