MEDICAL OFFICE TECHNOLOGY PLACES AT NATIONAL PBL COMPETITION

The Medical Office Technology Program at the Roane-Jackson Technical Center competed in the National Phi Beta Lambda Competition in San Antonio, TX during June 23-27, 2012. Phi Beta Lambda is the collegiate/adult version of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America).

The students competed in Business Communications, Business Ethics, and Parliamentary Procedures. The Business Ethics team, Valerie Spurlock and Cheryl Foster, placed in the top 15. The Parliamentary Procedures Team: Kim Williams, Valerie Spurlock, Laura Kovach, and Cheryl Foster took 5th place honors.

This program is available to any adult with a high school diploma or GED. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Classes begin August 16.
