A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 5 PM EDT this afternoon through late Friday night, including Calhoun and the region, according to the National Weather Service.

At 7 PM a small storm was headed across central and northern Calhoun, and more storms were moving from the west across the region later tonight.

Thursday night storms in the region left several thousand people without power, including about 300 in Calhoun.

A number of people have been without phone service in the county.

The Grantsville VFD responded to a fallen tree on a Big Bend house Thursday night.
