2012 STORM: WV ELIGIBLE FOR RELIEF FOR DAMAGES TO PUBLIC FACILITIES - Private Damages To Be Assessed

(07/25/2012)
West Virginia is eligible for US assistance to help repair, replace storm-damaged public facilities from the June 29 storm.

President Barack Obama issued a major disaster declaration for West Virginia, which will cover emergency work, repair and replacement of public facilities in 45 counties, including Calhoun.

Counties are eligible to apply for assistance under a program that would prevent or reduce long-term risk to life and property from natural hazards.

West Virginia is conducting damage assessments in applying for individual assistance, which includes grants and services for people who incurred uninsured property damage and loss.
