Elaine Linn Archer, 46, of Wood County, Wadesville Road, born Nov. 29, 1965, passed away on July 20, 2012,at home after her battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Mark Archer; son, Preston Junior McCumbers III of Chloe; daughters, Alisha Dawn Cooper (Josh) of Shreveport, La., Abagale McCumbers of Chloe, W.Va. and Allison Faye McCumbers of the home; her mother, Wanedith Greathouse of Chloe, W.Va.; sisters, Vicky Anderson (Randy) of Pine Grove, Joanna Morris (Ronnie) of Chloe and Jane Laxton (Rodney) of Clay; brothers, John Greathouse, Terry Greathouse both of Alliance, Ohio and Billie Joe Greathouse of Seattle, Wash. Also her step children, Amber Lockhard and Ryan Archer both of Parkersburg, W.Va. Seven wonderful grandkids; Haley,Preston, Addy,Maddy,Terrence,Gracie,Aden, and Kaydence; also many nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her infant son, Larry Edward McCumbers; stepfather, Lloyd Greathouse; and her father, Anthony Greathouse. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all of their friends and family who have helped so graciously throughout her battle with cancer.
